VetEmbryo trial of NAF OvuCycle

We have tested NAF OvuCycle, for one season, with mares in our OPU-ICSI program, who accepted to participate in the trial. The mares were given the supplement daily according to the instructions from NAF.

Please find a detailed description here, in the puplished conference abstract from 2025.

We found a higher chance of at least one embryo (a successful session) with OPU-ICSI, especially in the older mares > 15 years of age that were given the supplement for at least 4 weeks (as seen in the following figure).

Published research supporting that the key ingredients in NAF OvuCycle are important for mare fertility and oocyte quality, especially in aged mares:

Our conference abstract with the title "Effect of a novel complementary feed on fertility and in vitro embryonic development after ovum pick-up and intracytoplasmic sperm injetion i mares" can be found here.
